Donate to ASBHA in your will
By making a donation to ASBHA via your will, you can assist the work of ASBHA and receive tax relief for your estate.
You should always consult an expert, such as a solicitor, accountant, private trustee company or the Public Trustee when making a will.
There are a variety of charitable bequests you can make.
- A specific sum of money
- A percentage of your estate
- A residual bequest (whatever is left after all other gifts and costs have been deducted from your estate)
- A gift of property, shares, insurance policies
You can use wording similar to the text below to leave money to ASBHA but remember to check with your legal adviser:
"I devise and bequeath to the Australian Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association free of all taxes and other deductions… (insert amount and/or type of bequest)… to be used for the general purposes of the Association, and the receipt of the Secretary or other proper officer of the said Association shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee".
